I'm having a very...just keep breathing...kind of day. An entire month has skipped past in a blur and I'm not sure what I should be doing to get my little sewy business moving along.
Widdling away two weeks as part of a voluntary art decor team was heaven on a stick and the folk festival itself...well, lets just say it was wet....very wet. So alright lets be honest, it rained and poured and rained and turned into a slush of stinking rotten mud to the point where my motto became - gumboots, tent, tent, gumboots. Luckily I snapped some gorgeous pre-festival pics while the sun blossomed on.
It's not raining!
Introducing Jindaburra, a stunning Tawny Frogmouth. He became much loved by many festival volunteers while he lived in the ladies bathroom munching on moths. He was found orphaned by his human mummy and will soon be old enough to explore the world (outside the toilets).
After much painting, sawing, sewing, sorting (and hula hooping), it was time for a christmas break before the festival.
New block games to go crazy over.
Detective games and...

Yummy summer pjs.
When we returned to the festival site on Boxing Day...all 250 volunteers had been over-run by thousands of festival goers who just seemed to sprout out of the fertile earth like mushrooms! It was time for the fun (and rain) to begin.

Muddy boots and piping hot coffee...where's my umbrella?
A stunning bride in white.
Enormous puppets on stilts.
Despite the rain smiles shone through.
After the festival a much needed chillout was in order. Along with a lot of washing and scrubbing of camping gear!
Time to cuddle the latest addition to the street.
After a few days of being completely freaked out by living in a garden rather than a tiny cage, the six new hennys are extremely ecstatic. They scratch and cluck their way around a fertile garden with a lovely tree to squabble under and little places to nest.
Some of my favourite flowers and getting busy in the garden.
...would be great right about now.
Our little neighbours visit every day for snuggles, games and...
afternoon snacks...yum.
A little time for reading novels...this time it's Dracula.
Remembering the last bright sunset of the festival.
Hope you all scrambled through christmas and new years with a smile.
Luv Soul.
