Droplets of rain are shimmering on the leaves outside my window, the fan is whirring and I feel all at one peaceful and brimming with anxiety. This past week I have been busy in a 'trudging through thick gluggy mud', kinda way. I'm sure many of you can relate Do you ever seem to bumble away the hours with nothing much to show for all that missing time?
In exactly five days time I will be bunkering down at camp Woodford as part of an art decor team. I think (kinda not sure yet) we will be creating scrumptious art installations to bring a little soul to otherwise plasticky event tents. For those Australiaites, in particular Queenslandites or others up this way for christmas, the Woodford Folk Festival is a truly delicious, soul-filling time, which is sure to set you up for a fantastic year ahead.
So with the folk festival volunteering regime looming I have been busily attempting to create chrissie gifts, many of which I would love to show here, but I am pretty sure they would be seen by their future owners.
I have started writing all my random thoughts down, ideas for toys, website urls, hair appointments, random things such and such said. This holesome, gorgeous book has been waiting around for a couple of years for me to find something 'special' to blot its pages, in the end I decided 'life' is special and just started to write down anything and everything.

A gorgeous book just like this one could belong to you (or a friend). They are handmade with recycled, enviro friendly materials and you can find them at affirmations australia pty ltd.
I found all six of these little chrissy baubles for just 50c at an op-shop. They are handmade with old christmas wrapping paper and are kind of baubles that just look better and better the longer you have them.
I also found this funky fabric cheaps as chips. Its already found its way into some christmas gifts.

This little face belongs to Faisal. Faisal has a wicked sense of humour and is often very cheeky. He loves trampolines, lemon tart, chai lattes and cheeky children. Faisal realy dislikes brown banana and raw egg in milkshakes. When he is old enough he wants to visit a dragon in a castle.
Faisal's sexy bott bott.
Cute ears.
Li Ming has also emerged from the sewing never-never. (Excuse the poor quality of this photo. It was raining and just didn't want to work for me!). Li Ming is pretty and bright just like her name. She loves banana and onion muffins, go-karting and competitive chess. Li Ming really doesn't like old knickers and onion burps. When she grows up she wants to sail around Austraia on a whale wearing only feathers.
Faisal is 95% destined to live with a little boy human soonish, but Li Ming will be lounging around on etsy waiting for a new family as soon as I take some better photos!

I spent some time today sewing up some sweet christmas (or other) cards. The fabric pieces are all left over from toy and gift making and the buttons are all op-shoppy. I think this one should be called Lola. Here are a few of my other favourites.

This one is Lacey Liza 5 Button. The pic is cut from an article in the weekend paper about Warhol's exhibition in Brisbane.

Ziggy Liza Pink Strut.
Lazy Lenny Lace Lover.

Scrap-O-Button Roadkill Number 5.

Finally....Robot Santa The Understated....Aw-Sum-O
I also snapped a pic of a letter which arrived from relatives in the states. Green Lantern stamps..man we're missing out!
Hope everyone is coping with the wild christmas lead up.
Luv Soul.
